Muito bons!... Dentro do género (que não é dos que mais me agrada.). «Placebo é uma dupla formada em 1994 em Londres, Inglaterra. Seus integrantes são o belga, Brian Molko (vocalista, guitarrista e tecladista) e o sueco, Stefan Olsdal (baixista, guitarrista e tecladista). Devido a diferentes origens (Bélgica, Suécia, Luxemburgo, Inglaterra e Suíça) dos integrantes que formam/formaram o placebo, este é considerado como uma banda Européia.
A banda de rock alternativo/glam rock, foi idealizada por Brian Molko e Stefan Olsdal, em 1994. Depois de uma pequena apresentação juntos em Luxemburgo, eles tiveram certeza que deveriam formar uma banda. Nesse mesmo ano, convidaram o baterista Genebrense e amigo de Stefan, Robert Schultzberg, dando origem à Ashtray Heart. Já em 1995, o nome mudou para Placebo. A banda começou a ganhar projeção, e em novembro deste ano lançou seu primeiro single. Nesse período, eles abriam shows para grandes bandas e faziam pequenos shows para sua divulgação.
Por falta de cumplicidade entre Robert e Brian, o baterista acabou deixando a banda. Isso ocorreu em 1996, e foi nesse momento que eles convidaram então Steve Hewitt, amigo de Brian desde de 1991. Steve já havia tocado algumas vezes com Brian e Stefan anteriormente, porém não pôde participar da formação inicial da banda por ser integrante de outra, a Breed.
Gravaram o primeiro álbum intulado Placebo em 1996, e logo alcançaram um enorme sucesso pela Europa, por onde já estavam fazendo a própria turnê. Nesse início de carreira, o Placebo chegou a abrir shows para David Bowie.
A banda ainda conta com músicos de apoio nos shows. Estes são Bill Lloyd e Alex Lee (que substitui Xavior Roide, que deixou a banda em 2006).
Em 1° de outubro de 2007, foi anunciado no site oficial que Steve Hewitt deixou a banda, citando "diferenças pessoais e musicais".» (TRANSCRITO)

«Beastie Boys é um grupo de hardcore/hip-hop americano de Nova Iorque. Os seus membros são Michael Diamond (Mike D), Adam Yauch (MCA) e Adam Horovitz (Ad-rock). Todos os três membros são de ascendência judaica. Acompanhando estes 3 membros encontra-se Michael Schwartz (Mix Master Mike) - o actual DJ (substituindo Wendell Fite - DJ Hurricane)
Os Beastie Boys foram a primeira banda rap de brancos bem sucedida e um dos poucos projectos dos primeiros tempos do hip-hop que, ainda, granjeiam grande sucesso. O seu rap, influênciado pelo rock e punk, teve um impacto significativo em artistas, quer dentro, quer fora da cena hip-hop.
Os Beastie Boys são influentes na história da música, tanto no rock quanto no rap—seu sangue de gênero hip-hop and punk rock pode ser visto como precursor para os gêneros rapcore e nu metal do fim dos anos 90, tais como Limp Bizkit e KoЯn.
